About Crux
Cruxis a home for structured, asynchronous, one-vs-one debate. It's built for people who want to argue a position carefully — and have that effort judged fairly by a community rather than by who shouted loudest.
Every debate is a small contract. The instigator sets the resolution and the rules: how many rounds, how many characters per round, how long each side has to reply, and how the result will be decided. An opponent accepts the open side, and the two trade timed rounds with the instigator's side going first.
When the arguments are in, the community votes. The default seven-point system asks voters to weigh convincing arguments, reliable sources, spelling & legibility, and conduct separately — and to leave a written reason for their decision. Debates can also be settled by a simple winner pick. Results feed each debater's record and rating on the leaderboard.
Beyond debates, there's a forum for longer conversation, member profiles that track history, and a tag taxonomy for finding the topics you care about.
